Retrieve a beautiful tone and smooth skin
Rosacea is a chronic vascular condition that causes flushing and redness of the skin, mainly in the facial area, but sometimes also on the skin of the neck and chest. In the early stages, Rosacea tends to be fairly mild, comparable to a temporary heat flush and slight redness, but it can deteriorate over time, and become a more permanent blemish. It is yet uncertain what exactly causes Rosacea, but certain triggers that worsen the condition, such as sun exposure, alcohol consumption, emotional stress, and heavy exercise have been identified. With increased exposure to these factors, Rosacea can reach a stage, where its manifestation becomes similar to that of Acne, with infected pustules spreading over the skin due to the overstimulation of the sebaceous gland from the increased flushing of the skin.
Ellipse Laser Treatment can be an effective method to reduce the appearance of Rosacea, and with long term remission. As with Acne treatment, the Intense Pulsed Light of the Ellipse Laser can reduce the flow of blood to the sebaceous gland by targeting the haemoglobin in the blood vessels, damaging the structure of their walls with the heat energy generated from the light pulses. The resulting reduction in sebum production in the sebaceous gland then helps to clear up infection and improve the appearance of the skin.
Approximately 2-3 treatments will be required to achieve the desired results. Ellipse Laser Treatment with Intense Pulsed Light cannot treat the condition that causes the visual symptoms of Rosacea, so it may have to be repeated if the symptoms reappear. Results do, however, last for a significantly long period of time.
